About Us
The Caloosa Riders Bicycle Club, formed in 1988 and currently with over 350 members, was created to cater to active, enthusiastic cyclists of beginner to advanced levels and interests.
This is accomplished by scheduling and conducting a weekly slate of rides which challenge riders to plan and develop their conditioning levels and cycling ability. Other benefits to members include discounts at local bike shops, and secondary accident insurance while on club rides. We are focused on helping you develop as a rider and to gain as much enjoyment as possible from cycling. Advocacy efforts are supported to safeguard the rights and safety of cyclists in Southwest Florida.
Our Ride Calendar goes year round and offers rides seven days per week, and special events like the Royal Palm Challenge held annually in February. Shorter rides begin with mileage options of 20 miles, but for riders aiming at longer distances, routes begin at 40 miles and work up to centuries and above for special events. What sets our club apart is the full range of pedaling experiences we offer, whether you ride for fitness, for fun, or for endurance. We strive to offer the greatest variety and scope of riding experiences possible!
Yearly dues are just $20.00 for an Individual Membership, or $30.00 for a Family Membership (for up to 4 people.)
