Join Ride Leader Larry Grabiak (Long Distance Larry) for a 90.9 mile ride that starts and ends at the Panera at Daniels Marketplace Plaza, 6911 Daniels Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL.
Roll out is at 6:45 AM and the suggested pace is 14-18 mph.
Of course, if you wish to go faster-no problem-just go!
This is a NO DROP ride, however, riders must be able to keep up with the minimum speed for the duration of the ride.
Helmets are required, along with working front and rear lights, several bottles of water or sports drink, and a flat repair kit.
ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS will be adhered and this includes:
1) No blinking lights until after sunrise.
2) No rear blinking lights above the bicycle saddle (aka no helmet mounts).
Rest stops will be at convenience stores (about mile 25 and mile 50) with a third rest stop at the Panera at Coconut Point (mile 75) and any others as needed.
Inclement weather call will be no later than 10:00 PM on Friday, March 27th.
The route scheduled is 90+ miles. If riders want to hit 100 miles, at the end, continue riding North on Six Mile Cypress to Top Gulf and return to Panera. Larry will be waiting for you at Panera, drinking coffee and eating a croissant.
