https://ridewithgps.com/routes/50819271 Saturday, May 24th is the first day of this 2 day event, and the group will meet up at 8:00 AM at Loop Road and US 41 (Monroe Station).
The 70.7 mile route takes the group through old Florida to the Shark Valley entrance to the Everglades National Park and back.
The route is extremely flat, about 25 miles of nice gravel, about 25 miles of rural paved road, about 15 miles of pavement inside the park and about 6 miles of wide shoulder along US 41.
Not a difficult route but it will be sunny and hot, so be sure to bring plenty of fluids, some snacks and sunscreen.
There is a shop at the visitor's center to refill water and get basic food including gas station sandwiches and ice cream bars.
The group will spend the night in Homestead, FL.
