NATIONAL FAMILY LITERACY DAY
On November 1, 2025, Caloosa Riders members supported the Literacy Council Gulf Coast bike raffle, helmet, lights & locks give-away, and bike skills rodeo.
Club volunteers ensured that the free helmets being distributed were fitted properly to kids, teens, and adults. They also distributed free bike headlights and cable locks.
For kids that brought their own bikes, CRBC President Terry McLaughlin, a volunteer with the LCSO Civilian Support Unit, set up a bike skills course. Riders practiced quick stops and balance and bike handling through the slalom and roundabout sections.
The event concluded with a raffle of 17 bicycles.
It was a beautiful fall day and an opportunity to promote bike safety in the Bonita Springs community. Thanks to all the club members that volunteered.
And big thanks to Michelle Milita for these great photos.
